Work in Progress: Granberry’s Garden #1

Start Date: October 30, 2016

When we moved into our house in the San Fernando Valley, our backyard was a wasteland with potential. Michael, raised in the south and no stranger to the woods, vowed he would work long and hard to convert it into a lush, verdant sanctuary. Today, we have a private world of emerald beauty, as inspiring as it is peaceful.

This will be my first real experiment with multiple tones of green. I’ll be using a mother color that’s equal parts Thalo Blue and Cad Yellow Light. Earth tones will be Burnt Umber, Burnt Sienna and Cad Orange, and maybe some Alizarin Crimson for an accent color here and there. I’ll have a few days to work on it before I leave for a week in the Bay Area. I hope to have it completed by mid-November 2016.
